In hymns let us honor the fathers of the wilderness of Athos, the angels in the flesh, the confessors and the venerable, holy hierarchs and martyrs; and, emulating their virtues, let us cry aloud, saying: Glory to Him who hath glorified you! Glory to Him Who hath crowned you! Glory to Him Who hath shown you to be our intercessors amid tribulations!

Come ye, let us all praise the fathers who have made Mount Athos a heaven, who have shown forth therein an angelic life, and have assembled a multitude of monks; and let us cry out unto them: deliver us from every misfortune and temptation, O ye multitude of the venerable, boast of Athos.

When the stone had been sealed by the Jews; while the soldiers were guarding Thy most pure Body; Thou didst rise on the third day, O Savior, granting life to the world. The powers of heaven therefore cried to Thee, O Giver of Life: Glory to Thy Resurrection, O Christ! Glory to Thy Kingdom! Glory to Thy dispensation, O Thou Who lovest mankind.

As God, Thou didst rise from the tomb in glory, raising the world with Thyself. Human nature praises Thee as God, for death has vanished! Adam exults, O Master! Eve rejoices, for she is freed from bondage, and cries to Thee: Thou art the Giver of Resurrection to all, O Christ!
Holy Great Martyr Theodore the General, Troparion, Tone IV —
Through true recruitment didst thou become a most comely general of the heavenly King, O passion-bearer Theodore; for with the weaponry of faith thou didst wisely array thyself, didst vanquish legions of demons and didst show thyself forth as a victorious athlete. Wherefore, with faith do we ever bless thee.

Arrayed in faith with manliness of soul, and taking in hand the word of God as a spear, thou didst conquer the enemy, O Theodore, great among the martyrs. With them cease thou never to entreat Christ God in behalf of us all.

Brothers and sisters,
We are slowly but surely coming back to together after some trying times that tested our faith and resolve on whether or not we would remain faithful to our holy Orthodox faith and church. The irony is that we are constantly living in such times and have only now begun to realize the seriousness of the situation in which we exist in. Our Christian faith has been tested and will constantly be tested. Remember the sacred oath that our holy prince Lazar gave on the sacred Plain of Blackbirds some 600 years ago. Which kingdom are we striving to achieve, the earthly or heavenly? If we seek the earthly kingdom, we will surely win but only momentarily as we see all around us in the guise of various political parties, movements and slogans that have dominated the landscape. And then after our death what will happen to the utopia that we think we have created on this earth? It too will fade away but one thing we are instructed to seek and search for is the heavenly kingdom which resides in all of us if we become Christ’s sons and daughters, no matter our social, political, economical status, if we become His and therefore our duty is to love Him and our neighbors as ourselves.
Enough time has passed during these weeks of quarantine for us to ponder on our lives and what choices and decisions we need to make in our lives. We must start with re-orientating ourselves to the true source of life, health, wellness and being. It is time to come back to church and re-establish our covenant with our Lord and Savoir Jesus Christ. We are to suffer and stand firm for our church and faith that is being persecuted on all sides by everyone. Now, today is the beginning of our salvation if we come back to our senses like the Prodigal Son and cry out to our Heavenly Father that we have sinned. Our Father in His abundant mercy and boundless compassion will receive us back but we have to make the first move. And how do we accomplish this? By coming to church and participating in the divine liturgy and by partaking of His holy and most precious body and blood that washes away all iniquities. Now is the time of action. I hope and expect to see you this and every Sunday in church. God bless you all and keep you all safe from any visible or invisible danger.

Предстојећи Догађаји
Драга браћо и сестре,
Током ових недеља карантене прошло је довољно времена да размишљамо о својим животима и оним изборима и одлукама које требамо донијети у свом животу. Морамо започети с преусмјеравањем себе на прави извор живота, здравља и благостања. Време је да се вратимо у цркву и поново успоставимо свој завет са нашим Господом и Спаситељем Исусом Христом. Морамо да трпимо и чврсто будемо уз своју цркву и веру коју сви прогоне на свим странама. Данас је почетак нашег спасења ако се вратимо својим осећајима попут Блудног Сина и завапимо нашем небеском Оцу да смо грешили. Наш небесни Отац у својој изобилној милости и безграничном саосећању ће нас вратити у Његовом загрљају али морамо направити први корак. И како то постижемо? Доласком у цркву и учествовањем у божанској литургији и учешћу у Његову Светом и најдрагоценијем Телу и Крви који испире све безакоње. Сада је време акције. Надам се и очекујем да се видимо сваке недеље у цркви. Бог вас благословио и сачувао!
